At the naturalization interview, a USCIS officer puts you under oath and goes through your Form N-400 with you, asking you to confirm or explain your answers and checking that you understand the yes/no questions. Every answer must be truthful and match your application and documents; if something has changed, say so. This is study help, not legal advice: if any answer is “yes” or you are unsure, talk to an accredited representative or an immigration attorney before your interview.
The officer asks
Please raise your right hand. Do you swear or affirm that everything you say today will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
