Citizenship Lab ("we", "our") provides educational services for citizenship and immigration exam preparation. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

• Anonymous usage analytics (via Plausible Analytics) — page views and country/locale distribution. No personally identifiable information.
• Local quiz progress stored in your browser (IndexedDB and localStorage). Never sent to our servers.
• Advertising cookies (via Google AdSense) for personalized ads. EU, UK, and Swiss users see a consent banner before any ad cookies are set.

How we use it

• Improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns.
• Serve relevant advertising (with consent in EU, UK, and Switzerland).
• We do NOT sell, share, or resell your data.

Third-party services

• Plausible Analytics — privacy-respecting, no cookies, EU-hosted. https://plausible.io/privacy
• Google AdSense — advertising. May set cookies with consent. https://policies.google.com/privacy

Your rights

• Access / Delete: Your local data lives in your browser. Clearing browser storage deletes it.
• GDPR (EU and UK): Right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
• CCPA (California, USA): Right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale (we do not sell).
• Do Not Track: We honor browser DNT signals where technically possible.

Children

This service is not directed to users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
