Confirm 5+ years of legal residence (last year uninterrupted)
Pass the Sproochentest (Luxembourgish speaking A2, listening B1)
Attend the 24-hour "Vivre ensemble" course or pass the exam
Confirm no disqualifying criminal sentence
Get a full birth certificate and a copy of your valid passport
Get foreign criminal records (nationality countries and countries lived in for the last 15 years)
Sworn translation of documents not in Luxembourgish, French or German

Apply in person at your commune's civil registry (free)
Request a refund of the €75 Sproochentest fee
